hiya

basically was looking into getting a new interior and dont want to be drilling holes in it for my manual 'arm achers'!

a how to would be amazing! Also if someone could scan the page of the Haynes manual so i know the wiring colours n that!

also some quotes on how much it would cost!

did do a quik search but nothing came up! x

I converted from manual to electric using a kit but I still needed a hole in the trim

It's pretty easy tbh, especially with colins guide. Even easier if you have the looms already in the car.

I installed rear electric windows for under £100

Possible to get electric mirrors + all looms from a gti for example then put that into your car?
would that work?!

Yes as long as it was from a car in the same 'plex' as yours Smile

TBH you could run all the wires yourself, and just by-pass the BSI, you'd just not get the one-touch without buying a 503T. Leccy windows are a simple circuit. Leccy mirrors you'd just need to buy the connector for the switch side because i doubt you'd be able to make one yourself

Not fully true, door connectors and mirrors connectors need to match up, just cause a car is multiplexed doesn't mean it will have plexed door looms and mirrors. You can fit any door loom to your car, just along as the mirror connector fits that loom.

But wasn't this about windows.....
