#22: Re: Never noticed that before Author: Jodiegee, Location: West midlandsPosted: Wed Oct 06, 2010 12:41 pm ---- Apart from battery troubles, and the front end of the exhaust falling off ( and likely to fall off again sometime in the future) it's all good haha.
And first of all I'm planning to get some Alloys on it, as it's on standard steels at the mo, then I don't know really haha

#32: Re: Never noticed that before Author: twed207, Location: borders, near carlisle.Posted: Thu Oct 07, 2010 7:47 am ---- as in nothing nothing? if you charge the battery, does it start?
the BSI may have been cooked if it wasnt shut down and started up properly agian.
#33: Re: Never noticed that before Author: V9977, Location: Athens, GreecePosted: Thu Oct 07, 2010 7:47 am ---- Don't despair.
Check the earth strap (-ve lead) which bolts on to the transmition/chassis.
If it was already loose it could have finaly given-in when the battery
was disturbed while replacing.
#34: Re: Never noticed that before Author: DJ-, Location: UKPosted: Thu Oct 07, 2010 8:04 am ---- could it be the alternator not charging it?
#35: Re: Never noticed that before Author: Jodiegee, Location: West midlandsPosted: Thu Oct 07, 2010 12:00 pm ---- Well my dad came to look at it while i was at work, and he started it just fine... so i have no idea what was going on when i came to start it earlier on in the day.
Also when i tried to start it and got nothing as i went to lock it, it wouldnt lock so had to lock it manually with the key, and the same again when i tried to open it again...
but as i say its starting fine again now.

#39: Re: Never noticed that before Author: V9977, Location: Athens, GreecePosted: Thu Oct 07, 2010 3:56 pm ---- Get him to trace the negative lead coming from the battery to
where it joins onto the car transmition housing or chassis, and
make sure its bolted-on really tight.
#40: Re: Never noticed that before Author: Danny., Location: PeterboroughPosted: Fri Oct 08, 2010 1:59 am ---- there's not a ratterlig in the key is there?
If there is your Imboliser chip may have come out of place so you cant lock or start the car.
