Nope, FIA aproved sparko items

And there's no bonnet catch, so in the event of a crash, a marshall can get under the bonnet for whatever reason.

Need to sort a cut off switch too Smile

Nope, thats for stage rallies

This is going to be used on public roads and auto tests where pretty much anything can be used, some of the roads are gravel though Wink

Would not go for the gravel tyres..... a decent set of Mud/snow tyres would be better... you may find road rally regs will not permit gravel tyres

What She Said

To be perfectly honest, tyre choices aint going to make that much difference

It would just be better off you stripping that little bit extra out of the car Wink

if you're doing autotesting, surely the first thing you want to do is sort out the suspension.

not sure about that? but i agree there not allowed on road rallys, if i was you just compete in what you have at the moment and see how it goes.

If it was a 1.4 you could have gone endurance class with it, also im not sure u need a cut off on the out side of the car, think it might just be inside, have you got a blue book??

Here's the link to the Blue Book, which will of course change in January.

www.msauk.org/site/cms...rticle=876

I have just finish my first season of road rallying in North Wales and the Borders (7 events 5 finishes).

My advice would be to join a local (road rallying minded) motor club, one that puts a road rally on is a big clue.

You don't need any cut off switches just a yellow earth cable (tape wrapped around the cable will do).

We have run on gravel tyres or a mixture this season dependant on how rough the rally is. Yokohama A021 are brilliant but at £90 each which only lasted 300 miles on the front of 1.4 206 a bit pricey. Yokohama A035 are the gravel type which are still very good on tarmac.

Hope this helps any question pm me.
