#50: Re: RC track car (update) Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Mon Sep 12, 2011 8:05 am ---- Good effort..... but it seems a little shy on the power for this set-up. I would have expected over 200HP.... probably looking for 205-210 realistically. What Management are you using??
#51: Re: RC track car (update) Author: simpsonrc, Location: coventryPosted: Tue Sep 13, 2011 12:21 pm ---- It's on DTA Management, its still on the standard exhaust and i think the trumpets are a bit short. An you know how different rollers can be in there readings.
#52: Re: RC track car (update) Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Tue Sep 13, 2011 12:49 pm ---- Try 90mm trumpets and a four branch manifold.... The exhaust will not give you the extra but the trumpets will modify the way the power comes

When you mean standart exhaust is the cat still fitted. Please install MADAC Group N style exhaust. Or straight pipe and freeflow backbox.
#54: Re: RC track car (update) Author: simpsonrc, Location: coventryPosted: Sat Dec 31, 2011 12:17 pm ---- I have just had the first test drive with 106 electric power steering and it works very well. New inlet manifold maybe?
#55: Re: RC track car (update) Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Sat Dec 31, 2011 12:32 pm ---- Don't you need a 2.5" exhaust system for over 200bhp? What size is the standard system?
#56: Re: RC track car (update) Author: simpsonrc, Location: coventryPosted: Sun Jan 01, 2012 3:22 pm ---- The standard 180 system is about 62mm O/D (2.44") so it’s not far off, i am thinking of a new exhaust an manifold any way.
106 power steering fitted, very similar feel to original pump just need tidying up now.

My exhaust was a 2.75" downpipe going into a ashley 2.5" group N system. I'd change your exhaust first. Last edited by 205GTi180 on Mon Jan 02, 2012 12:00 pm; edited 1 time in total

#59: Re: RC track car (update) Author: Schumi, Location: Istanbul / TurkeyPosted: Mon Jan 02, 2012 12:19 pm ---- I think 106/Saxo pump will be heavy on parking moves with 17 alloys.
#60: Re: RC track car (update) Author: Addaz, Location: SuffolkPosted: Mon Jan 02, 2012 12:40 pm ---- I will let you know what its like with heavy wheels, as ive done the conversion too (but with a saxo unit (same difference))
