#1: Ease of drying out/cleaing up seats (180)? Author: Jamie1337, Location: Dorchester, DorsetPosted: Sat Oct 23, 2010 5:49 am ---- Really need a quick answer guys as if it's worth it ill go back up and get them Found a set of 180 seats (well, look exactly like the pics I've seen anyways and half leather/suede) but are in my local scrappy atm. Pic here:
Now I can get the interior really cheap (like £25 a seat at the front) and door cards for like £8 each, need to know how easy it is to clean up (looks like oil sprayed over rear door cards for example) and front seats are soaked through. Now it doesn't smell of rot yet so should be savable but wanna know if I should take the risk? It's about half hour drive away to go back up there and would need to rip my interior out in parts to fit it in.
Fast answer appreciated, thanks

#17: Re: Ease of drying out/cleaing up seats (180)? Author: Jamie1337, Location: Dorchester, DorsetPosted: Sat Oct 23, 2010 9:33 am ---- I know, im so chuffed right now lol Just spoke to a mate going to get them valeted soon for £30-40. Should ensure that there are no water stains upon drying too
#18: Re: Ease of drying out/cleaing up seats (180)? Author: T_bandery, Location: East londonPosted: Sat Oct 23, 2010 9:35 am ---- The leather binnacle sells for about £60!!!
#19: Re: Ease of drying out/cleaing up seats (180)? Author: Jamie1337, Location: Dorchester, DorsetPosted: Sat Oct 23, 2010 9:39 am ---- I know what they're all worth mate but thanks for the tip
Valueing my haul at around £500, cost me £65 (plus ~10 petrol), not a bad day in the office if I dont say so myself. The airbags are intact on the seats too! However there is some damage to the drivers side. The Plastic backing has come away at the top, and the lower part of the seat appears to have dropped further than it should. Any advice here? Thank you all
/edit the part that makes the seat go forward to let in rear passengers has also been removed (you know, the annoying bit the seatbelt gets caught on). Simple enough to remove from my old seat and replace or will it somehow pass MOT like this (although Im pretty sure it shouldnt).
#20: Re: Ease of drying out/cleaing up seats (180)? Author: meady, Location: basingstokePosted: Sat Oct 23, 2010 10:22 am ---- I would of thought it would still pass the mot as it will still have the arm bit on the other side of the seat.
Are you going ro be selling any of these bits?
#21: Re: Ease of drying out/cleaing up seats (180)? Author: Jamie1337, Location: Dorchester, DorsetPosted: Sun Oct 24, 2010 2:50 am ---- Yes I'll be selling quite alot of it, but think I'm going to enjoy a few bits for a while until I need the money (interior, binacle for example). Needed a new rear upper passenger section of the bench anyways since my middle seat belt is jammed and will fail MOT like that. I've got my car booked in for wednesday with my local garage and will ask them as they'll MOT my car and see if they would pass it or not. I've got a small FS thread up atm, but will add up more once I've cleaned things up. Seats will be getting valeted ASAP (once my friends brother in law is able to) out of the car for £40, and should ensure no water stains etc
#22: Re: Ease of drying out/cleaing up seats (180)? Author: Steve206, Location: UKPosted: Sun Oct 24, 2010 1:04 pm ---- Can you tell me where this car is, im after the rear bumper, do you know if its in good condition?
