#1: Diablo gti project Author: sicskate, Location: Margate, Kent PostPosted: Sat Oct 23, 2010 1:51 pm
    ----
I bought my first 206 sept 09.
It's been trouble free so far (fingers crossed).

The bay was looking a mess so I sprayed the engine cover and tb bit.

Then I noticed the s***ty sound deadening sagging on the fresh paint, so ripped the bugger off.
I then painted the engine cover again.

Then my rear axle gave up the ghost.
So I replaced it with a 180 axle and lowered in 30mm at the same time.

I then got hold of some black lexarse lights.
They looked "ok" for a day or two?!?
So I sprayed them black.

For some reason it had a non gti rear bumper, so I've swapped that too.
I also got hold of a ph2 boot strip and ph2 washers.
The front was then lowered 30mm on eibach springs I bought off meady.
I've sprayed the front badge
Removed rear badges
And I've also sprayed the bumper strips ford panther black, along with the mirror caps and door mouldings.

Then I replaced the drivers door and wing due to dents.
I then got some ph2 lights

Exhaust had dropped so that was welded back up.

Then today I had the opportunity to swap my crystals and ph2 lights for chrome angels and black led rears.

I also fitten some 206info stickers in the front and rear screens.

And that's about it for now (that I can remember)
I took this pic today after swapping the light with another 206info member.

(mines the front one)

I'll update as a when

Cheers.

I hate to say it as I dont like bad-mouthing other peoples mods...but I think it looked better with the standard lights...Phase 2's would be even better Sad

Personally id say go back to Phase 2, suit the colour scheme alot better, the black/chrome/LED looks out of place in my opinion, other than that, awesome looking car Smile

Small update, the ph1 rears are back on.

Also, I spotted a set of 17" vortex alloys with mint pzeros for £100, so needless to say I ripped the chavs arms off!

They do need a recon, but its my job so I have no issues making them like new again.

Bought some 16" nims off gavstar and took them to work yesterday and painted them ford partner black.

I reversed into my brick wall (see brick wall in last picture, it ends early!) anyway I hit it and needed a new bumper, the non sports did the job until it was replaced.
