#5: Re: MPG display Author: ExoVyper, Location: Waiting for the tugboats to push me into port (Whitehaven)Posted: Sat Nov 13, 2010 10:23 am ---- it depends on what PPthingy you have in
mine was an 05 hdi but i only had the single line display
you'll need the two line display and the comm unit with the button on the end of the stalk to do it

Got my 52 reg 1.4 HDI working OK.
Use a very, very small screwdriver to carefully prise off the button on the wiper stalk then look for a small hole (think it's a square hole if memory serves). If it's there use a blunt cocktail stick and carefully insert it into the hole with the display active.
Don't push too hard as it takes very little force to operate, if the display changes like mine did then happy days!
I first disabled the auto lights because I didn't particularly want them and swapped the buttons off the indicator stalk and the wiper stalk so that I could use the display functions.
On mine the button on the wiper stalk was just a blank and not a functioning button. You could get another button from a scrapper indicator stalk if you want to keep the auto headlight functions.
If you search the forums there is a really good article with photos how to do the mod.
