#1: Project: Low, Slow & Loud *Updated 03.03.2011* Author: Jonno, Location: Boston/Spalding Lincs PostPosted: Sun Feb 21, 2010 6:44 am
    ----
My first car was a 2001 1.4lx. had it colour coded and put alloys on it before i joined this site.
Joining meant i cc'd interior, tinted windows, added different lights all round, added a soundsystem

When i first got her..

how she changed

Then this sight got me looking at upgrades for my lx that higher models already have, and with 1yr no claims, and the need for a bit more poke and a few luxuries..i decided to sell up and get a higher model.

January 2009 i purchased a 55plate 1.6 sport in Aegean Blue

she started out life with me like this:

before i could drive her, i had taken interior plastics out to paint

The day i got her, i debadged the rear and put some rear LED's on that i swapped with a mate, and my private plate was swapped over

Insurance money came through and i bought alloys and a mod ive never had before, lowered suspension Twisted Evil in the shape of vmaxx coilover kit and uprated shocks for the back
before

after

the spoiler went on from ebay already painted somewhere in all of that

Next was interior
white heater plate

Alpine DVD HU, Type R 10" sub, Type R Comps, Vibe 4channel Amp

HU has ipod lead as well as hands free kit, meaning my parrot kit has come out
Dials: Lights off

Lights On

Cool

Tinted windows came next, along with a trip to Exhausts UK in sheffield for a S/S catback with oval tailpipe

Front end went down some more

SP grill came next with me putting the 206 logo on it in black hammerite
did have the upper grill, but sold that when i put on the badgeless front grill and bonnet notch filled in

had a few bits painted white, roof runners, mirror caps, bonnet vent, arieal (sp?)
and purchased some wheels for winter to save the white ones,

although these rubbed on the sp arches, so they were sold and 180 alloys went on.

This is as she stands now,
with not a lot left cosmetically, she needs new brakes pretty soon, and i want to upgrade the rear speakers too. Then when insurance agrees, im hoping to look into engine mods, cams, stainless manifold and sports cat but thats a while away yet.
hope u enjoyed the very long read, sorry i got picture happy lol

Nice car. I actually like the blue and white theme, keep the good work up.

tbh i got fed up of the roof strips going grey when i caught them with polish, so i felt i was forever putting back to black on them, and i didnt think gloss black would go with the white wheels, so white was the obvious choice.
remember the 180 wheels are only on for the winter, the white ones will go on april ish time

its been done to death though, thats why i tried other things in white, im hoping the unique white wheels will tie the theme together in the summer, if not, il change things, its only paint after all

the bodyshop at my uncles garage did it, i presume he sprayed them on the car, just masked up very well..no overspray, and paint finish is spot on.
i think the white wheels will finish the car off once they are back from refurb, summertime here i come

I love the white tbh, not sure how i feel about the white eyelids though, imho i think itd look nice with white 180 wheels and white 206 badge, and no white eyelids but thats just me Very Happy

EDIT: On second thought, i quite like the eyelids too!! - But yes, white 180 alloys would definately set it off!

I cant decide if i like the white or not!
I personally think the wingmirror tops and the eyebrows are a touch too far.
but I love the originality of the roof liner.

Have you thought about gettin the ecosse cristal bonnet vent (or the cheaper copy of it), spray it white.
Think it would compliment the car very well. if you got rid of the eyebrows etc

He got rid of the eyebrows, i thought they looked good with the car, but it still looks good now also Smile So in my opinion, if something isnt going to improve the look of the car, ya dont need it.

~So he can sell em to me, along with the arches Razz

Update 29/08/2010

I've done quite a lot since my last post on here.

I bought an Alpine mono amp for my sub
and added Type R rear coaxials, amped of course
sound deadened a whole lot,
and build a false floor to cover it all.

sorry its blurry

Fitted a full leather interior in the week building up to FCS

Got my summer wheels on, these have been on since 05/04/2010, long overdue update!

Sprayed the rest of the interior vents to match my theme

Fuel cap was painted to match the theme, quite impressed with the results

Removed the eye brows as they needed repainting and i wanted a change, you will also see the smaller front plate, UK font, legal spacing, carbon fibre "look" gel letters,

Ive also added a few stickers.

All updated, exterior and interior are now finished, apart from winter wheels which are secret
now onto small performance bits

Jonno

Personally love the white bits you've got going on. Think having one or two less stickers might make it a bit nicer. Less is more in some cases.

I think it looks like you have too many stickers because your last update post focused alot on stickers... I personally think the car (including stickers) looks pretty damn mint!

Although to go with the name of your thread you should of picked up one of these:

Very Happy

a couple of shots of how clean the rear looks without all the stickers too

That's the one mikey, I've got it in a liquid form and its easier to use with the same results.
As the guys have said the gold wheels are only for winter, they are 10x easier to clean than the white and blue ones.
