#1: My slammed GTi has a new set of rims!! AT LAST... Author: Jay206-GTi, Location: MansfieldPosted: Mon Nov 15, 2010 1:39 pm ---- FINALLY i have a set of new wheels, after much dicussion, photoshopping and consideration i've chosen these 17's which i bought today and fit straight on with no pcd or offset problems/issues (straight fit).
Here's (quite a few pics) as i got a bit snap happy whilst i was out.
On the wish list to complete the look i'm after,
1. Spoiler
2. Ecosse rear lights/lenses
3. Debadge the lion on the boot
4. Smooth grill/bonnet along with lion badge removal
5. Seat Cupra splitter
6. H.I.D Conversion
7. Mudflaps
8. Dewiper the boot
9. Get some 180 seats
Anyways, less of the talking and more of the car in its current state.
Here you go....any opinions would be much appreciated!!
BEFORE
AFTER
Thankyou...

Okay...so here i have a minor amount of peugeot 206 pictures i have saved on my laptop and this ''raise the rear and lower the front more'' seems to be going straight over my head.
For instance - i'll let the pics do the talking....
And last but not least....MY PEUGEOT 206 GTi the day after i purchased it from my local Peugeot main dealer back in Sept 09 completely standard
So....''it came pointing nose down for a reason?''
This isn't a dig at anyone, just dont seem to know where everyone is getting this info from as to me the pics seem to suggest otherwise on ALL the above 206's.
Anyone got any examples of lowered pugs looking ''level/nose down?''

#17: Re: My slammed GTi has a new set of rims!! AT LAST... Author: Jay206-GTi, Location: MansfieldPosted: Mon Nov 15, 2010 2:27 pm ---- A few more ''lowered pugs'' which should apparantly....be nose down?
And here's a pic thats been photoshopped to make the front end match the back...and to me, this looks completely stupid and not even level to the ground. Not to mention, the front wheels wouldn't be able to even turn!!
#18: Re: My slammed GTi has a new set of rims!! AT LAST... Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Mon Nov 15, 2010 2:47 pm ---- All those 206's dragging their arses will not be good to drive hard round the average UK B road though.

How come the majority are like this then mate?
I mean, my sills are flush to the ground and when i look through my rear view mirror its perfect.
I must admit that it does look lower at the back than the front, its just that it even looks this way when completely standard...which is why i'm a bit bamboozled with all these ''lower the front or raise the back'' comments? Because to me...it's sitting how it should in my eyes and the handling/ride hasn't been affected since i lowered it.
To me...everyone is expecting it to look like the last pic i posted thats just above ^ And to be honest, thats the 1st one i've ever seen sitting flush over each wheel, but looks wrong to me. Last edited by Jay206-GTi on Mon Nov 15, 2010 2:56 pm; edited 1 time in total

It's because you chose to look at those lowered that way. The others don't take so many pictures so you don't see them as much.

The majority aren't though.
You've picked a few modified examples, that in itself doesn't count for every lowered 206 out there.
The front should point nose down slightly, lowered or not. It's the car natural stance, by having the sills level or lowering too much on the back your taking an average handling hatchback and making it a dismal handling hatchback.
Wonder how many of those cars pictured are lowered on the 'notch / spline' method, which says it all really.

But my coilovers on the front are as low as they will go! Just doesn't make sense...

Hmm...agree that its sat low, but, if you were to straighten your front wheels i can guarantee (looking and going by this pic) that the gap between tyre and arch is MUCH greater than that of the rear, which...if what i've been reading off some of the ''professionals'' on here - is not nose down?
Pretty much, if not more so, in the same boat as me yet mine gets a hammering and yours gets praised....
Very nice car though mate

there was nose down, the way i can tell that is because a jack fitted under rear sill not at the front

Thanks for the comment mate.
I'm defo keeping it sat how it is though, it just seems correctly sat/positioned whatever angle you look at it and not lowered like a drag car.
