My mates 206 manual window handle has came out and wont go back into the mechanism which operates the window so it looks as if it has snapped the threads.

Looks like ill need to fit a new mechanism, has anyone ever changed one before?

I went to scrapyard but have no idea how to get it out or to even fit it back in?

Anyone ever changed the mechanism before?

no the handle has came off with the metal thing which turns the mechanism that reels in the wire so that the windows can go up and down

Get me? lol,

It wont go back in and looks to have sheared the teeth off the metal rod so when you put it back in and turn, it doesnt grip the mechanism to reel in the wire

The unit is riveted on, so that will need drilling out, and new one riveting in, or use small enough nuts bolts and anti shake washers to secure it...
