#347: Re: Sarah's 206 :) Author: Sezticle, Location: Withersfield, SuffolkPosted: Sun May 01, 2011 9:15 am ---- So it's a nice summers day and my family decided to go for a Sunday drive through the lovely Suffolk countryside and we come across a pretty ford. It looked really shallow so i get out and stand on the bridge to get a shot of my brother driving my car through it.... not realising it was quite this deep, but he'd already committed to going through it before we realised so had to continue, car is absolutely fine and i got a one-off shot as wont be doing it again!!
#348: Re: Sarah's 206 :) Author: Sezticle, Location: Withersfield, SuffolkPosted: Sun May 01, 2011 9:20 am ---- And here comes Dad looking all prim and proper, then does the same thing lol, this is what Bentleys were made to do!!
#349: Re: Sarah's 206 :) Author: rttam, Location: devonPosted: Sun May 01, 2011 9:50 am ---- id check your airfilter isnt damp after that if you have a standard airbox as knowing the way that air intake routes the resonator box is probably full of water now
#350: Re: Sarah's 206 :) Author: macca1411, Location: Westhoughton, LancashirePosted: Sun May 01, 2011 11:19 am ---- At least your arches are clean lol.
Did you not realise it was so deep when you walked from the other side?
#351: Re: Sarah's 206 :) Author: Sezticle, Location: Withersfield, SuffolkPosted: Sun May 01, 2011 12:37 pm ---- The air filter is absolutely fine, because the cars so low, when it hit the water at speed, the water couldn't go under it so it went around it so no water went in the engine bay amazingly enough, we checked afterwards, all dry!! Even the windscreen didn't get wet lol. It looked really shallow, we could see the bottom but obviously it was misleading ha ha, was fun tho
#352: Re: Sarah's 206 :) Author: Sezticle, Location: Withersfield, SuffolkPosted: Tue May 24, 2011 7:06 am ---- Nipped by my brothers work today and he kindly pressure washed it for me

#354: Re: Sarah's 206 :) Author: Golfguy206, Location: PeterboroughPosted: Tue May 24, 2011 9:17 am ---- just read all 24 pages. Your car has come along way.
my only criticism is that its too low on the rear. Raise it by 15-20mm, then would look better. just IMO.

It sure has! Only in looks though, i haven't done any engine mods, can't afford to! Thats everyones critisism lol. I know what you mean, but instead of raising the back, i'm gonna bring the front down lower, then it should look even
#357: Re: Sarah's 206 :) Author: Golfguy206, Location: PeterboroughPosted: Thu May 26, 2011 1:13 am ---- Cool, that would make it even. However the reason for my remark is that the rear wheel looks too "buried" in the rear wheel arch. My suggestion brings symmetry back to the rear wheel. Just my opinion, ignore it if you like.
#358: Re: Sarah's 206 :) Author: Sezticle, Location: Withersfield, SuffolkPosted: Fri May 27, 2011 6:36 am ---- Yeah i see what your saying but that's what everyone likes the look of and i want to be different and if that means people don't like it then that's how it has to be because i don't want to be a sheep and follow how everyone else likes to have their cars lowered if that makes sense?? I absolutely love the way my car looks, the 'buried' look i think looks brilliant.
The front still needs lowering, i will bring it down more but there's no way i'm raising the rear! I want to be as low as i possibly can without destroying it lol
#359: Re: Sarah's 206 :) Author: sam-c, Location: Uni: Kent Home: ScunthorpePosted: Fri May 27, 2011 7:17 am ---- you already struggle over speed bumps! going to be even worse when you lower the front more!

Fair enough, Just my opinion. It is nice to see a "different" look and I hope to see your car in the flesh sometime. Are you coming down to Mod Nats?? I live less than 2 mins driving from the showground! Last edited by Golfguy206 on Sat May 28, 2011 1:02 am; edited 2 times in total
