how will i know if mine has been recalled? if i rung my local dealer do you thing they will think im chatting bubble and fob me off mine runs ok in all fairness but a ecu update would be good

Defect: The software may cause erratic operation of the motorised throttle, which may result in breakage of the throttle stop. This can result in the engine reverting to limp home mode, with a possible reduction in braking assistance.

i think it was cut from 7250rpm to 6900rpm

My wiper used to come on when put into reverse (de-wipered now) and I've had the recall but it still revs over 7k?

Could it be remapped? Mine doesn't do the wiper thing and it's a 54 plate. I guess the owner at the time couldn't be bothered...

im the 4th owner of it 2 women before me (04-08-09) and (21-02-09) and the guy who had it from new from 2-12-2004
i have all old mot and bits and bobs but no service book

He said it depends on the chassis number.. very strange, because I obviously don't have the update!
