#1: 206 1.4 HDI noise from fuel filter area? Author: ChrisJH, Location: South WalesPosted: Mon Nov 29, 2010 10:15 am ---- On pressing throttle I get a noise from the fuel filter area. Unsure if it's actually the filter. But changing it as a precaution hasn't fixed it. Happens at various revs and seems to be louder at higher rev ranges. Also occasionally happens when revs dropping back to idle when engine under no load. Anyone got any ideas or heard of this before?

Check the black plastic top engine cover isn't vibrating by putting your hand on it at various points and revving the engine. It's only pushed on and the plastic lugs wear particularly the single one on the battery side of the engine.

Looks like a couple of thin vacuum pipes going to it. Anyone know what this is?
