#23: Re: Struggling to reach 70mph Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Sun Dec 12, 2010 2:58 pm ---- I have a 1.4 and I have never thought it was as slow as you describe it, was about the same acceleration as my dt 125.. although that topped out at 75
#24: Re: Struggling to reach 70mph Author: TieBreakGreen, Location: EpworthPosted: Sun Dec 12, 2010 3:13 pm ---- look on the bright side, at least yours tells you how fast it's going.
mine's the 1.6 8v and tbh I've been a bit surprised how quick it isn't in 5th aswell, lovely flat torque curve but never seems to fly. Used to peaky Italian engines.
#25: Re: Struggling to reach 70mph Author: ukskater01, Location: sutton surrey/welwyn garden cityPosted: Sun Dec 12, 2010 3:14 pm ---- I have a 1.1 but it's loves to rev! I've never had a problem getting to 70 but if I wanna go any faster it does take a little while unless I downshift, mine has just has a full service though so maybe best to get it serviced asap
#26: Re: Struggling to reach 70mph Author: jonny_fulton03, Location: LeedsPosted: Mon Dec 13, 2010 11:49 am ---- ive checked checked and checked the insurance again and its quite cheap (ish) Think im guna give it a full service and fiddle with a few parts and tweak here and there and see if i can knock it on the head...lol And its definately a 1.4 engine and not a 1.1...lol Joni
