#1: XSi Manifold Questions.. Author: Cr4zYb0y, Location: Salisbury PostPosted: Sun Dec 12, 2010 7:36 am

Right next mod on the car is going to be a stainless steel manifold, currently have a Janspeed stainless steel cat back exhaust..

Few questions.

1. Where is the best place to get it.?
2. Is it worth getting it heat-wrapped, or can i get away without it.?
3. Is it going too make much difference (noise wise) Don't fancy it too noisey motorway driving.
4. Is it just a straight swap, or will i need any additional parts to fit..?

Any Help is much appreciated, time to buy myself a xmas present Smile

what manifold you want? raceland or SS?

it is all up to you whether you want heat wrap or not

there will be a bit more noise

in theory they should be bolt on

My SS Raceland one doesnt fit very well, blows in 2 places Sad Dont know if its just mine or a design flaw.

I didnt heat wrap mine, i preferred the shiney look of the engine bay to the minimal increase in wrapping it. But thats just my taste Smile

I'd prefer the stainless look aswell..! Is the 1.4 16v use the same manifold as the XSi..?

I wouldn't have a clue mate. I would have just brought one made for the 1.6 16v XSi and imagined it would be a straight swap with no problems..

raceland 4-1

Even so you'd expect it to fit Confused

Mine is a 4-2-1 manifold.
