#1: Fault code P1160?? Author: neil35, Location: ukPosted: Sun Dec 12, 2010 10:42 am ---- I have started to have problems with my 206 (2005) 1.4HDI. When i accellarate above normal the engine light comes on and using my reader I get the code P1160 (and power loss).. If i reset the light using reader everything works ok until i accellerate above normal and it comes on again.. When i rev the engine hard whilst stationary i get no engine light but a very sooty driveway..
Please help as im lost as that code is not on any lists that i have..
Thanks ,, Neil

Could be the sensor, it could also be the wiring.
The fault code just tells you where to start looking under the bonnet
#6: Re: Fault code P1160?? Author: neil35, Location: ukPosted: Sun Dec 12, 2010 1:44 pm ---- Think we have solved the problem.. Air filter was found to be split but i had a spare one so replaced it. Due to the soot around the split i took off the air flow meter and it was very black. Cleaned with contact cleaner and reset the ecu with my laptop. Cant get the fault to re-occur.so fingers crossed..
thanks to all
