It also overheated once and before that the heater wouldn't get warm. they all seem coolant related. Could freezing cause an air bubble because I am sure my heater and over heating problem were down to frozen water. this could be linked to your problem as well.

If its related to when you rev or accelerate then it is something in your coolant... either air (most likely and easy to solve, just bleed the coolant) or you got rust or debris in the pipes of the coolant system. This is Peugeot advice by the way... just don't ignore it!
I got the same problem except mine aint air (which most of the time this problem is), so I've probably got some restriction somewhere in the coolant pipes! my forum is HELP... COOLANT MYSTERY PROBLEM

The scuttle drain tubes are blocked, probably by leaves, causing a build up of rain water to slosh around the scuttle (the area below the windscreen wipers, under the bonnet)
Can't say I've ever found any drain tubes on my 206...there isn't anywhere for water to slosh around.

Author: rttam, Location: devonPosted: Mon Jan 03, 2011 2:09 pm ---- bet you its the sill filled with water iv seen this on quite a few 206's at work i know it sounds odd but just try drilling a small hole in the bottom of each sill and i bet at least one side starts draining water out then wait till its all drained out and whack a bit of paint round the hole to stop rust
the noise is the water sloshing up and down the hollow sill

The sills already have 3 drain holes that Peugeot designed in to them
Make sure the sill drain holes are unblocked, 3 each side, stick your head under the car, look up with a torch & you should spot them,

Author: bezford, Location: darlingtonPosted: Tue Oct 23, 2012 9:25 am ---- Does the noise go if you turn your heating/air con off totaly? if that has no effect i would definately visit a garage and get a gas in coolant test, wont cost much or they might even do it for free if you charm them a bit?
Its just a pipe with a chemical in it ,they suck up your coolant(about 20 mil of anyway)and if gasses are present it turns blue or green from being clear to start with. This will tell you if its the head gasket or not and it sounds like a big possibility, making the same sound as my head gasket fail on my mgzr..expensive so lets hope im wrong.
