#321: Re: Ross' VW Lupo GTI - red wheels! Pics page 22 Author: Ross, Location: West MidlandsPosted: Sun May 15, 2011 4:29 pm ---- Took some more pics today, partly because I'd cleaned it, but also they're decent pictures of the new front end height. I'm really happy with how it's sitting now!
I then test fitted one of the new wheels, I wanted to see if it would catch at the front as I'd dropped it more on the Bathurst's. Went for a quick ride round the block and it didn't catch once, including driving a bit faster than I normally would over speed bumps, result. Oh and I'm loving the new colour . Apologies for the blurry pics!
The abused driveshaft:
I also fitted a new red pinstripe grille, bigger than the old one, fits much better as it wedges in tight between the bumper and grille. It also came to my attention that my GTI badge wasn't quite in the right place, I think. So I moved it slightly higher, think it looks better

I did buy a fake US spec 25th anniversary Golf GTI badge but wasn't that impressed with the quality. Was thinking about getting a UK spec 25th anniversary one which is all chrome, but it's not a direct fit, so I might just get a direct replacement, unsure.
