#1: abs esp asr not working? Author: kieron, Location: in the house PostPosted: Thu Dec 16, 2010 11:26 am

about 3 days ago i had a abs fault on my dash come up couple seconds later i had ESP/ASR fault so said to myself ill get that sorted out asap the next day its fine for a few hours then all of a sudden it will come back

its been on and off now for a few days just wanted to know is the asr/esp related to the abs fault or could i have 2 faults?

as its working somtimes and then it is not could the sensors on the hubs just be clogged up ?

any info would be great

cheers kieron

mine does this with just the abs light as i only have abs, my n/s front abs ring is cracked so it randomly birings up a fault every once in a wile. if you can afford a diagnostic check then i would jack the car up and check both front abs rings for cracks as they are very common to break.

i can get it diagnostic checked yes

would the cracks stand out i had a quick look at the rings the other day and to be fair the all seems fine

the light will sometimes be on from start up and other times it will be fine

ye, it would be a full crack all the way through the abs ring, if theyre not broken then your only bet is to get it plug into a diagnosis machine.

Try giving the rings and sensors a good clean-up first.
