Ive got a 2002 206SW HDi 2.0.
Every morning that i go to start it , it fails , Explained :
Glow plugs have been changed. , i wait for the glow plug light to go out , and the fuel pump to finish priming.
it will turn over for a good 2-3 mins not starting
BUT 1 tiny squirt of easy start and BANG it fires up no questions asked.
Im now at a loss as to what the problem could be. its only started doing it since its become cold.
Does the 206 Diesel have a cold start sensor that i dont know about?
Any help is much appreciated

Also using too much easy start could damage pistons (not that I've seen that before though) probably an old wives tale!!
But im sure it creates displacement of oil in the pistons and thus lower compression and then no cold start.
There is a fuel heater on the fuel pipe just in front of the injectors (in front of the most left hand one).
Its black and about 2"wide, 1" deep and 1.5" high with a (approx) 10mm pipe in and out of it, which could be tired.
It might be a compression issue or low fuel pressure at start though ???
I thought I had the same problem and done some research, until I found my alternator seized and therefore holding the fan belt, cheeking fecker!

Quite true! When I had the misfiring fault on my 306 I got to the point of asking it to work properly.....

It's nothing to worry about, just the -5'c temperatures outside

all the glowplugs get a stable 12V to them so they are working.
i couldnt locate the Fule heater suggested by pedro_keil , im assuming that it may have been on earlier or later models
