get both front wheels in the air and turn the one which moves freely the other one should spin in the other direction try the other side if one side doesnt turn its broken a cross shaft or something inside the diff, it could be a number of things causing your problem your best bet is have a good look or let someone who knows what there doing look, if only one wheel is spinning its normal for a (open) diff to do this as it gives the power to the wheel which is spinning
