#1: Cambelt change Author: MattyP, Location: PlymouthPosted: Sun Dec 19, 2010 10:23 am ---- Just spent the last 15mins going through all my paperwork to see if the cambelt had been changed before I purchased it, found all the mot certificates to when it came out of the factory, even a letter from Peugeot thanking the buyer to purchasing extended cover from new but no sign of a cambelt change anyone know how much roughly it will cost to replace the cambelt?
#2: Re: Cambelt change Author: rttam, Location: devonPosted: Sun Dec 19, 2010 10:38 am ---- about 250 to 300 depending where you have it done i would of said if you decide your keeping it id have the water pump done at the same time mate

even if I sell it mate i'd still have to get the cambelt changed, especially if I wanted to get as much money for the car as possible, just looked on gsf and the belts are less than £23 so i'm guessing the high costs for a cambelt change is all labour

ideally you want to get the full kit really, and as said above do the water pump to

def get the kit mate at least changing the belt and not doing the tensioner is pointless
yeah its quite labour intensive as its quite tight down there and fairly complex to do (nowhere near as complex as the 180 though as you havnt got vvt luckily :)
