#1: Hi again - and Lowering question. Author: 00budham00, Location: IpsPosted: Sun Dec 19, 2010 2:07 pm ---- Hiya!! Ive had to re-make my profile.... what happenned in jan??
Anyways i've not been on for years as my 206 went long ago. But i've just bought a new one!
YAY!!!!!
So ive bought myself a W-reg 206 GTI. And treated my self to a brand new set of 17"'s for it.
I was looking at getting it lowered, but just wondered before I go grab some springs, if someone could advise on a good number to lower it by.
Many thanks.
Missed you all!!

For handling purposes and to minimise to risk of rubbing 30-45 will be perfect, maybe a little futher. But if you are doing it for looks then 50+

#4: Re: Hi again - and Lowering question. Author: Callum206, Location: West SussexPosted: Sun Dec 19, 2010 2:12 pm ---- Welcome. If your getting springs then dont go too low as you cant adjust them and your 'stuck' at that height coilovers if you wanna slam in the summer or whatever then raise for winter or whatever your preference may be.

Probably a 50 then.

#10: Re: Hi again - and Lowering question. Author: meady, Location: basingstokePosted: Sun Dec 19, 2010 3:06 pm ---- where bouts in the uk are ya ???
#11: Re: Hi again - and Lowering question. Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Sun Dec 19, 2010 3:12 pm ---- Do front first definately if you are on springs but it still seems to logical to do so on coilovers. After that you can look for how low you want the rear and raise the arms to match.
