#1: Windscreen wiper motor frozen!!! Author: GhostIV, Location: PrestonPosted: Tue Dec 21, 2010 9:53 am ---- Hi All,
Given the current low temps it appears that my windscreen wash system has frozen, i think the motor has frozen too as im not gettting any noise trying to use it!!!
Does anyone know where this is located under the hood so i can attempt to de-frost it before i die in a horrible accident!!!
Cheers Folks

Mix some concentrated screen wash with hot water in a 50 / 50 mix & pour it in the washer bottle then leave it for a while.

Author: bellevuespares, Location: ManchesterPosted: Tue Dec 21, 2010 10:24 am ---- Motor is located under the trim where your arms are attached. look under the bonnet,on passenger side right at the back, your jets will be frozen! so wil be the screenwash fluid in the bottle, not much you can do accept drive and wait for it to unfreeze

No its not there at all
The motor is where MrBSI said.
Just warm the bottle up and the nozzles. Should always have screen wash in it, stops it freezing up

#11: Re: Windscreen wiper motor frozen!!! Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Tue Dec 21, 2010 10:54 am ---- There's 2 different types of screenwash.
Ready mixed which you pour straight in the washer bottle.
Concentrated which you mix with water yourself in whatever ratio you want.
Concentrated is the best type IF mixed correctly
#12: Re: Windscreen wiper motor frozen!!! Author: mjsroofing, Location: south walesPosted: Tue Dec 21, 2010 11:00 am ---- concentrated i use , maybe i didnt put enough in as i dont like smell of it,
oh and yeah as above mate, warm water in bottle and over bonnet to defrost the jets and check the fuse
and if it dont work, take a bottle of water with you so you can wash the screen when you stop at the lights !!!! I've had to do this a few times
