#1: Rear lights Author: pwbadi, Location: RomfordPosted: Wed Dec 22, 2010 11:14 am ---- My car failed its MOT due to a non functioning Brake light. I replaced the bulb and it is still not working.
What I have now realised is that the circuit board( On to which the bulbs are fixed) is full of rust. Cleaned it withn WD 40 and it still isn't working.
Called the dealer and was told that I need to buy the whole unit at a cost of £86. But one of my mates got just the board for a 306 recently.
Has anyone had this issue before? And how did you resolve it. ( cleaning does not seem to be an option)
Many thanks in advance

#5: Re: Rear lights Author: pwbadi, Location: RomfordPosted: Wed Dec 22, 2010 1:18 pm ---- Thank you all for the replies. When Lee mentioned re-wiring, I decided to solder 3 wires to the bulb and connected them to the main socket from the wire harness. And it worked. Thanks once again
