The diff in my gearbox went last nite so need a new 1 a scrapyard near me has quoted me 125 pulls VAT witch seems dear to my how much should I be looking to pay

I'm also in the same boat here, mine has a terrible rattle to it, anyone got a brief rundown of which gearboxes will fit? I have a 1.4 8v as well.

£1495 is the price for a service / exchange from Peugeot

OR

£2573.57 for a brand new unit

less than 100 i would say. MA box is quite cheap and common really.

might be worth to check on ebay too

There's plenty of used 206 1.4 MA gearboxes in scrapyards / breakers / Ebay

i bought a car before for the gear box and then scrapped the car for more than i bought it for just an idea for you. ebay maybe for a scrapper.

The OP wont even pay £125 + vat for a gearbox local to him, I doubt there gonna splash out more on a whole car to take the box from.
