Nope, you need the correct one for you engine, there's been plenty of different type ecu's used on the 1.4 so you MUST match the model numbers on the sticker!
Also a used / new / 2nd hand ecu will be locked because of the immobiliser, you would need to get it unlocked before it would allow you to start the engine.

I have removed the front bolt but i cannot seem to get to the 2nd bolt at the back of the ECU to remove the tray as i want to check the ECU Earth
