#1: 206 alloys / tyres Author: perry081064, Location: staffordshirePosted: Wed Dec 29, 2010 12:16 pm ---- ive just got myself a X reg (2000) 206 1.4 LX
came with steel wheels 14" ( 175/65/14 )
ive got hold of a set of 15" TSW alloys with tyres (195/50/15) for next to nothing. i was wondering if these would fit ok or would i have problems.
will get a better set later on when i can afford.
thanks in advance for any info

Enjoyed getting back in a manual though
#21: Re: 206 alloys / tyres Author: perry081064, Location: staffordshirePosted: Thu Dec 30, 2010 4:21 am ---- just an update:
its bad news
although the wheels fit on , they stick out from the arches way too much.
.. in the fitters words " i can put em on, but they are very pullable, expect some licence points if you are stopped"
i was told i could possibly fit some plastic skirts but itll look nasty.
at least he didnt charge me anything for trying anyway.
#22: Re: 206 alloys / tyres Author: Seabook, Posted: Thu Dec 30, 2010 4:26 am ---- that can't be right.
306 alloy should be ET19, saxo/ 106 should be around 15, in either case, doesn't really matter.
many people in here running ET5(for those brembo brakes) to ET10 (myself) on their 206 and have no problem at all. wheel do not stick out from the arch.

Do the front & rear wheels stick out or just the fronts?
If its the fronts then maybe a set of sports front wings with the wider front wheel arch would sort it?
The front wings are only bolted on, just wait till you find a colour match.

wish id taken a pic now but when you look down the side of the car you can definatly see them sticking out .
if i place a ruler down to the tyre from the side of the arch it sits on top of the tyre ( im not good at measurements but id say at least an inch possibly 2 )

fronts stick out ..but he said the back would be even worse
#26: Re: 206 alloys / tyres Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Thu Dec 30, 2010 4:42 am ---- Maybe an idea to get rid of them & look out for some 206 alloys, plenty about.
Alloys are not life or death, just wait till the right set comes along.

ive done just that, returned them this morning and the guy gave me a refund.
40 mile round trip, least it gave the car a run out
just gonna keep looking for another set that i know will fit with no hassle now.
not too bothered about make / size , but just prefer an alloy on to a steel wheel.
so if anyone has any 14" on a 175/65/14 let me know !
#28: Re: 206 alloys / tyres Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Thu Dec 30, 2010 9:00 am ---- You can get a few different types of 15" alloy from the 206.
Scirocco, Foudre / Lightning II are 2 that spring to mind, there are others.
Make sure you get the alloy wheel bolts as well.
