I'm after one of these too as I have had trouble with fault codes recently. There are a few different types/price range I found on ebay.

cgi.ebay.com.au/OBD2-S...20b48e3698

and

cgi.ebay.com.au/Profes...3363a5ac63

I also have a 2004 subaru forester x so both cars should be OBE2 compliant.

Regards
Dean

Your car should be EOBD being a 2003 petrol, you can buy a basic engine fault code reader for around £20 if you look hard enough on Ebay.

If you want to go in to ABS, airbag or other codes etc then you need to spend a bit more.

The best diagnostic kit for your car would be Peugeot Planet, you would need a laptop to run the software.

PPS is the dealer tool & you can do a lot with it Wink

It does cost a lot though Laughing

pretty much what i have, and although i've only used it a couple of times it's almost paid for itself as i had to make BSI changes, so no dealer trips.
