#1: My exhaust :| Author: amy-v17, Location: Bury St Edmunds/Luton/BournemouthPosted: Fri Dec 31, 2010 8:14 am ---- Ok so yesterday I took this picture:
And told you I was going to get it sorted today.
Put it up on the two post lift and straight away we could see that there was an arm missing, then we saw this hole in the exhaust:
So then we looked at where the back box was joined to the exhaust system and this is what we saw:
They have cut the exhaust pipe to fit the back box on! They havent even made a good job as the edges are far from being flush! I was disgusted when I was they had done this.
So we made a new arm to weld onto the exhaust to hold it as a temporary measure (and you can see the hole much more clearly now)
Then welded a small piece of metal over the hole:
I will definitely be taking the pictures I took (many more than shown here) to the powerflow where I had it fitted and get an explanation, then I will be taking the car to get a straight through system which I planned to do anyway although I was going to take it to powerflow 100% won't now!!

anyway,Happy New Year Amy

#9: Re: My exhaust :| Author: amy-v17, Location: Bury St Edmunds/Luton/BournemouthPosted: Mon Jan 17, 2011 1:08 pm ---- No actually it didnt sound that bad, the hole is in the back box so didnt make that much difference.

#11: Re: My exhaust :| Author: amy-v17, Location: Bury St Edmunds/Luton/BournemouthPosted: Mon Jan 17, 2011 2:37 pm ---- Thanks
I haven't been into the powerflow that fitted it yet as I am working away from home but heading back to Suffolk this weekend so will definitely be taking the pictures in and asking for an explanation!
#12: Re: My exhaust :| Author: Howey, Location: Kings LynnPosted: Mon Jan 17, 2011 4:34 pm ---- At least your Powerflow lasted that long... the one on my 205 lasted 6 months and the baffels collapsed in the centre silencer and the backbox snapped in half and fell off.
But I think it depends on where you take it tbh, some will be good and some wont.
#13: Re: My exhaust :| Author: Seabook, Posted: Mon Jan 17, 2011 4:53 pm ---- i thought Powerflow exhuast has got lifetime warrantly?

They refused to honour mine, citing "impact damage"

It is indeed, he just quoted me £300 for a new system so I told him to shove it and crossed the road to the motor factors and got a whole new standard system for £90. And it drove so much nicer!
