from what i remember the 1.7 vvt was quite quick for 130bhp car

125 bhp standard with VVT.
1.7 Ford Zetec S unit, a Ford & Yamaha developed engine.

#7: Re: My Puma Author: M4rk01, Location: BrandonPosted: Mon Jan 03, 2011 5:48 pm ---- I will miss it when it goes, the ride height is very high but it corners really well, so Ford got something right with it. I always thought a Racing Puma would be a great car but they only made 500 so they are getting harder to come by and power wise it's not a great deal better off
#8: Re: My Puma Author: Highmac, Location: North WarksPosted: Tue Jan 04, 2011 10:43 am ---- My missus has a Puma that she has loved since the day she bought it - brand new - in 2002. She's now at the stage of figuring out what will replace it when the time comes. It's the 1.7 and I get to drive it occasionally. And it always reminds me you can't take off with low revs...
During the snow, though, she's been taking my 2-litre HDi - she says it just "feels better" on dodgy roads.
Guess it's the extra weight. Not hers, the car
PS - If you're on the Pumapeople forum, she's cat51

I have had mine for nearly two years, I got mine with a little less than 17,000 on the clock so it's in good condition, not as good as owning from new but it wasn't far off
