#1: Oil temp guage not rising Author: chunkielad, Location: LeighPosted: Tue Jan 04, 2011 4:28 pm ---- The oil temp guage on the right of the dash goes up to top when I put my key in and sits there for a while with the lights on etc... (showing level I believe). When it goes out, the needle drops and sits at zero. No matter how far or hard the car is driven (giving time for the oil to actually warm) it doesn't read anything.
Never noticed if it was like this before we did the oil change today but I assume it was like that when I picked the car up.
I am assuming it's just a temp sensor swap so now the tricky question.
When I swap the sensor, is all the fresh, new oil gonna leak out or can I get away with this somehow?
