Correct.
Unless the STOP warning light is on at the same time as the (!) its always the handbrake switch.
If you get STOP & (!) then check the brake fluid

I have checked brake fluid and thats fine. It is fairly intermittent in terms of when it flashes, could go a long time with nothing or a few minutes. Will always happen though. How do you check the handbrake switch? or what else could it be? So annoying! And every genius who gets in your car likes to point out to you that there's a light flashing on your display as if you havent noticed!!!
Any help mucha appreciated!

Its a brake fluid low issue OR the switch in the brake fluid bottle cap / connection

The hand brake light flickered on and off and beeped without the stop light flashing.
Day after it happened again, but the text "break fluid levels low" came up on the dash with the flashing red STOP and hand brake light.
I've had NO problems at all apart from 3 weeks ago where it happened the same way.
I topped up the brake fluid, must admit it took about 30ml/40ml of fluid.
It's now happening again??
You think it could be a faulty fluid pot or connection?
