#1: Car has died Author: Dan206, Location: SwindonPosted: Thu Jan 06, 2011 12:14 pm ---- Well I've had a slight knocking noise for about a month now however it was still driving fine. The other day I was driving along quite happily when I smelt a burning smell, about a minute later the engine management light came on and then the car cut out. It started again after a few tries as I needed to get it off the road. It drove like an absolute pig and the light came back on, I parked it up in my work car park over night which was only a couple of seconds from where I stopped. Its now in the garage and im waiting for a quote. Not looking forward to what it is.

Not as bad as I thought it would be.
