#1: GRRRRR Clutch problems Author: chunkielad, Location: LeighPosted: Fri Jan 07, 2011 11:33 am ---- Well, finally thought i had everything sorted on my new gti beast (or at least the parts in hand to sort it) and then the clutch starts! I think its just the thrust bearing as it is squeeling when the clutch goes down but is driving fine for the minute. Can you get a thrust bearing on it's own for these or is it a full kit? Tried to search the web for one and can't find one seperate.
Do you have to move the engine at all to get the gearbox off too as my brother was on about all sorts of stuff when I mentioned him fitting my new clutch.

Have a look in the discount section, there's a discount code for them as well.

They want £166 plus Vat and locally I can get exactly the same item for £90 + VAT. Thanks for the link anyway though.

Is that it? My brother reckons you need to loosen off the engine mounts and tip it over a bit too.
