#1: Moisture in lights? help please Author: JordGJ, Location: Leeds / West MidlandsPosted: Mon Jan 10, 2011 10:22 am ---- My headlights are home-made masked crystals so probably not sealed properly so now and again the insides of the lense condense. Also my rear lights have a few tiny drops of water stuck in them. I know i can take them apart and reseal them but does drilling a tiny hole in them actually work because if so i'll do that it seems much easier

Yeah drilling a hole does work.

Nah I was been serious
Drill the hole on the underside so its not noticeable.
because people don't like taking a drill to lights, and like them in perfect condition

A lot of Porsche 944 owner's do this as the rear lights can fill with water, tiny small hole in the right place & its not even noticeable
#10: Re: Moisture in lights? help please Author: juanfernandes, Location: LondonPosted: Mon Jan 10, 2011 10:59 am ---- The drilling wont stop the condensation, it will stop the water collecting at the bottom of the light (providing you drill the hole in the correct place)
Most cars' rear lights get condensation, but most arent clear (see through) plastic, no you don't notice the condensation.
How often do your rear lights condensate?
#11: Re: Moisture in lights? help please Author: JordGJ, Location: Leeds / West MidlandsPosted: Mon Jan 10, 2011 11:49 am ---- The rears don't condense, just a little bit of water gathers in them, fronts condense (well the passenger side lol)
#12: Re: Moisture in lights? help please Author: meady, Location: basingstokePosted: Mon Jan 10, 2011 1:23 pm ---- it just needs re sealing, mine done this when i first masked my cystals so i took them apart and resealed them properly and they havent steamed up since
