So I have got my Sportex Exhaust on and it sounds great but what I need to know is their any way of making my engine sounding a bit more manly to match the exhaust without messing about with induction kits. I don't want anything too loud just a little growl when I speed up. My last car had a supercharger on it so im a little bit lost when it comes to engine stuff, ( Never had to bother before )..

Would a K&N panel filter make much difference to the sound as the thought of fitting a induction kit does not make sense when petrol prices are so high and I have no plans on giving my insurance any more than i have to.
