Not properly mapped it's about 36 at the moment because the fuelling is rich to make it safe to drive, mapped I'll see about 42mpg. The beauty of light cars!

Including the timing chain, full exhaust system, forged conrods, and new water pump and exhaust manifold, around £3-4k when fully mapped.

great project !

Cheers Smile

fantastic bit of kit !, love the OEM Style look under the bonnet, did you buy the kit as a bolt on kit ?

Nah, I put it together myself, had to get most of the supercharger parts from the USA!

And yes we wanted to keep it as 'factory' looking as possible, and tidied all the wiring up properly and chose a fairly moderate colour scheme without going over the top!

"VX220 2.2 16v Supercharger Conversion Stage 2 - 240+bhp and 215-220 lb ft - from £5350.00 including VAT fully fitted and set up."

That's what I did, but I included the timing chain which costs £110 and is normally about £400 in labour.

A full Milltek exhaust which normally costs £1400. (This is a full jobby not just cat back or anything).

A new water pump which is about £130.

So totalling all that up is £7390 RRP. So I paid probably half that.

And I'll have about 250+bhp and around 230 lb ft of torque. DIY is definately the way to go if you know what you're doing.

OMG it lives been waiting to see what it looked like going (the video basically Laughing ) sounds fantastic! looks like it has the punch now to take on some heavy weight cars in the world of performance. 3/4 throttle and unmapped it hardly looked challenged out on the road, it will be immense once finished. i can totally understand your reasons for easing the suspension back those spring rates in a car that light! I am surprised you didn't need dental work Rolling On The Floor Laughing keep the updates coming!
The 0-60 time your hoping for should be achievable as long as you can keep traction, has it shown what it is like accelerating in higher gears at what point is it possible to lean fully on the loud pedal with out fear of wasting it due to the traction giving up? (obviously you can't actually try that out in practice yet but a best guess would shut me up Laughing )
