#19: Re: engine swap Author: kieron, Location: in the housePosted: Fri Jan 14, 2011 5:41 am ---- the 1.6 8 valve is a easy swap if your is a early 206
didnt someone on here put a saxo vtr engine stright into his 1.4 and even ran it on the 1.4 ecu to he got a unlocked ecu?
im sure on the older 8v,s it plug and play the looms are the same you will just need the 1.6 ecu so it will need to be unlocked or coded to you car
you can pick a 8v 1600 engine up for £150 so would be cheaper than the £400 to fix your head gasket but also you could fix your 1.4 for that depending if you was going to change the cambelt why the head is off

#26: Re: engine swap Author: T_bandery, Location: East londonPosted: Fri Jan 14, 2011 7:32 am ---- 1.6 8v will go in straight
If you want to put the 16v in then you'll need to change the wiring loom as well which is a pain in the bum!

I'm pretty sure pug did it for the 206 wrc
With the right head mods you can get about 225bhp with ITB's
Thats enough to make me want one
