#1: My First Detail! Author: Razpulsedj, Location: Partying with the Info ShufflersPosted: Fri Jan 14, 2011 10:49 am ---- Hi all ive spent ages looking on here and seeking advice for whats best to use on my car and i would like to firstly thank Mike and Sam-C for all their help on getting a noob detailing with the right gear
I spent 3 hours just on the paintwork as it was horrible with dirt and scratches and swirls everywhere
This came yesterday
Look what was inside
Poorboys Profesional Polish
Poorboys lack Hole
Poorboys Degreaser
Nattys Blue Wax
Application Pads
Microfibre Cloth
Here is the results, sorry for lack of pictures, thought id get some taken as it was getting dark and just started spitting
I must say though i was very dissapointed with the black hole as it did not hardly get rid of scratches or swirls! did make the car very shiny though
Bonnet
Roof
All comments would be great for a firstimer im very happy with it. Just need to tackle the interior, wheels and engine bay tommorow
So will i need to detail after every wash or will the wax and polishes all stay on for a while?

No you won't need to do it after every wash. Wax will stay on for a while up to you how often you top it up (or polish it off and put new wax on)

As for Black Hole, I'm a believer in getting rid of the swirls rather than filling them in anyway - get your elbow grease out! lol

Came up very shiny did you manage to clay it before this? You an get away with washing it every week basically as you'll feel the paintwork be very smooth and the dirt should come away very easily.
As or the BH, it's a filler as such, it won't remove any swirls, just fill in the marks and essentially 'hide' the marks. www.206info.co.uk/Foru...=6188.html
