#18: Re: Whitney's new shoes! Author: Spanerman, Location: Neath, South Wales.Posted: Fri Jan 14, 2011 4:27 pm ---- IIRC, the wheel can protrude a certain amount, 15mm?
But he tyre tread must be within the arch.
Sam.

They protrude as much as my previous alloys have and the other month, I got pulled by the police doing a routine stop and all they were doing is checking peoples tyres as it was winter and snow was forcast.
Being a young lad in a slightly modded 206, I got pulled aside as expected.
They didnt say anything. All my tread was alright and they had no issues.

#21: Re: Whitney's new shoes! Author: Bassline_Toad, Location: Chester, UKPosted: Sat Jan 15, 2011 10:21 am ---- Cheers mate.
Giving me a little confidence back
#22: Re: Whitney's new shoes! Author: chunkielad, Location: LeighPosted: Sat Jan 15, 2011 10:23 am ---- Don't let others knock you or yur car buddy. If it's how YOU want it then it's perfect! I liked it a lot when I saw it. The darker alloys look great on the light body too. Might paint my alloys gunmetal rather than getting new ones. The cyclones aren't my fave wheel but they will be OK.
#23: Re: Whitney's new shoes! Author: Bassline_Toad, Location: Chester, UKPosted: Sat Jan 15, 2011 10:27 am ---- I dont mind peoples opinions, I have made my car the way I want it, it's just I dont wanna get points and a fine :P:P
Yeah, S'pose you could. would look alright. Someone that lives near me has sprayed them moonstone blue (For some reason) on their 206, It could look alright but they've done a s**t job of it.
#24: Re: Whitney's new shoes! Author: Mikey2uk, Location: StevenagePosted: Sat Jan 15, 2011 10:28 am ---- If you are worried about it stick some SP arches on it
#25: Re: Whitney's new shoes! Author: Bassline_Toad, Location: Chester, UKPosted: Sat Jan 15, 2011 10:29 am ---- Very true mate, thanks. I'll look into that
#26: Re: Whitney's new shoes! Author: perry081064, Location: staffordshirePosted: Sat Jan 15, 2011 10:31 am ---- sorry if you may have thought i was knocking it..
..i wasnt, even in my first post i said how good they looked .
as you say, the pics may have made them look out more than what they actually was ( thats why i asked if you could post another couple of pics )
all i was on about in reality, was the fact that mine looked out that much and i was warned about them , but that must be an overprotective fitter giving me bad advice.
keep em on mate
#27: Re: Whitney's new shoes! Author: Bassline_Toad, Location: Chester, UKPosted: Sat Jan 15, 2011 10:36 am ---- Yeah, I am glad you brought it to my attention mate!
Cheers for that. Deffo something to bare in mind
Recommendations: Do you think I should get rear tints? It'd suit the theme of the car, but most people I know seem to think they're chavy! Dont know why though!
#28: Re: Whitney's new shoes! Author: chunkielad, Location: LeighPosted: Sat Jan 15, 2011 10:45 am ---- I don't think they are chavvy, I just don't like them and see no need for them. If not done well they can turn the car into a van and if done well they are hardly noticeable... You would need a light smoke on a silver car for my taste and that is just pointless.

#30: Re: Whitney's new shoes! Author: Bassline_Toad, Location: Chester, UKPosted: Sat Jan 15, 2011 10:58 am ---- I see what people mean, they're wasted money. I'll think about it..
Oh yeah, what colour is your 206? black or silver LED lights look nice!
I've got Lexar se lights on mine!
ha! they're black ones though, personally, I think they're a vast improvement on the chrome ones!
