#1: Hit a Pothole - now car won't start Author: 206gti, Location: South LondonPosted: Sat Jan 15, 2011 1:29 am ---- Hi Guys,
I'm wondering if anyone can help or just shed some light on this problem. I have a 2001 206 Gti.
On my way home from work last night I hit a Pothole. It killed my passenger side tyre and for some reason the engine cut out. I tried to start the car to get it off the road, but it wouldn't start. It turns over but just dies? So now I have a flat tyre and a dead engine.
Any advice on what it may be, or things to check would be very much appreciated.

You just need to find the button and reset it. I don't now were it is on the 206 but there usually under the bonnet right at the back near the windscreen.

The council are a*******s though mate, I don't think I can be bothered with all the trouble, and letter writing. Thanks to the advice I got on here, it only ended up costing me £25 for a part worn tyre. My old man towed me, so it was more the inconvenience, which they'd never reimburse me for anyway.
