#107: Re: Uz's SWGT No.1 of 1...updates =] Author: Uz, Location: No Man's LandPosted: Wed Mar 03, 2010 3:49 pm ---- I think with the KT1 I'm still sort of deciding on whether I want to go 7.5J front 9J back and get the arch work done now or just get 7.5J all round and get 9J rears next year when I do a colour change.
#108: Re: Uz's SWGT No.1 of 1...updates =] Author: Uz, Location: No Man's LandPosted: Wed Mar 03, 2010 5:10 pm ---- Quick update. I've been told morettes aren't fetching a fat lot anymore so I thought if I can't shift my morettes I'm keeping them for this as my everyday lights so these can get bashed etc and I'll keep my Valeos for Photoshoots, meets and shows.
I've spend alot of time and money on these to get these to how they are now...and apart from a 3mm big piece missing from one of the corners the lights are mint.
The morettes as they stand;
I'll get the chap at the bodyshop to get them sprayed up in Gloss Black to get some contrast going on and also so they match all the other gloss black bits going outside.

#110: Re: Uz's SWGT No.1 of 1...updates =] Author: Uz, Location: No Man's LandPosted: Wed Mar 03, 2010 5:24 pm ---- Dan...get Borbets as they are the bottom of my list. Plus if you get them they'll come straight off my list
#111: Re: Uz's SWGT No.1 of 1...updates =] Author: Uz, Location: No Man's LandPosted: Thu Mar 04, 2010 6:48 am ---- If I can get the rear arches without having to have them resprayed so they look like this;
I can get some 9J rear wheels and then I'll have more of a selection to choose from.
#112: Re: Uz's SWGT No.1 of 1...updates =] Author: Uz, Location: No Man's LandPosted: Thu Mar 04, 2010 7:46 am ---- Just wacked the morettes in the car along with the GT bumper and smoothed grille. Also swapped the spacers I had on the front for the back and this is how it looks.
Is it just me or do the RS wheels look quite nice on the side profile
Also photoshopped the side profile pic so I could get an idea of how I want it to sit with the coilovers and torsion bars setup.

Thats mate I'm gunna get my dad to have a read of the how to on the rear beam adjustment and if he thinks he can do it then it will hopefully done on Saturday. I really need to order this boot fill...just waiting for the payment to come through. I think the back end will look alot better and also complete especially with how the bumper ends.
I'm also toying with the idea of having just the side strips done in gloss black to match the rest of the gloss black bits and maybe break it all up abit more.

Hehe
My dad's really like how it looks aswell...kinda glad can't wait till it's finished now.
I've been looking into the cruise control stalk but you'll have to let me know how you get on with it. I reckon it'll be well worth it Get that bumper on as you'll be glad you've done it mate...makes a massive difference once it's on the car, completely changing the appearance.

Yeh I think something smaller and wider is a must but that can only happen once I've got thethe RS wheels sold. I ideally would like to keep it OEM and get some Nimrods as I wanted to fit these orignally but I don't wanna pay anymore then £150 for a set.
I want to be able to get them 'coated up in Gloss Black again and get them sitting at ET3 as I'll be using the 20mm spacers + 5mm shims I have already. Probs get them sitting on some 165/45 tyres so they get abit of stretch aswell.
