Finished the top section after 2 hours of p**sing around...in the end I had to use a total of 3 pieces of suede to do the MFD surround.
One to do the bottom, one to do the top and one to do the upside down b***h of a thing.
You can see the join of the upper and lower segments and the pic below shows the join between the upper and upside down. Can't really see that when your sit in the car.

Yeh thats me done with the whole wrapping business...it's taken all the energy out of me.
It's going into the bodyshop but it will be at the start of June as the guy booked up with insurance jobs untill then...but he is trying to get it in as soon as possible and getting some of the apprentices to do the insurance jobs.
I'm looking forward to getting it into the bodyshop but there's still alot to be done yet

Exterior looks will be great.
#292: Re: Uz's SWGT No.1 of 1...updates =] Author: Uz, Location: No Man's LandPosted: Thu May 06, 2010 1:50 pm ---- You take 1 piece of leather & 1 SW boot strip.
Apply contact adhesive and let to dry...once they are both touch dry you stick the two together as tightly as possible with no creases etc.
Which then leave you with this;
On the car;
Pic of the Grain (can't see it properly);
Also deciding on whether or not to do the side strips, instead of spraying them gloss black as I've got LOADS of leather left over lol.
Let me know what you think.

I've got some leather wax that I use on my trainers so I'll apply a load of that on it and see how it is...hopefully it'll do the trick
I am really contemplating the side strips as I've got 2 metre of material left. See what sort of mood I'm in the morning and how much I like the boot strip in the sun. So far the touch of it is awesome over the plastic

You get the wax from Footlocker and it's a soft wax which you can apply either by hand or applicator can then it works just like car wax. Wait to hard, buff off and enjoy I apply it once a month from new and my trainers are still white
#297: Re: Uz's SWGT No.1 of 1...updates =] Author: Uz, Location: No Man's LandPosted: Thu May 06, 2010 3:28 pm ---- Bit more of an update...
Found a 300mm Momo Team Steering wheel which I will be bidding on to replace the horrible plastic one I've got. Also buying a boss kit for the 206 which switches the Airbag light off and also a quick release kit (just because they're cool & for added security).
I can just see me carrying my steering wheel bow wow style around uni lol.
#298: Re: Uz's SWGT No.1 of 1...updates =] Author: Uz, Location: No Man's LandPosted: Fri May 07, 2010 10:48 am ---- 4 Door Strips and a sheet of leather
4 Strips of leather cut to size for each strip
Door Strips Retrimmed
The grain
Gunna clean them up with some leather cleaner to get any glue off the leather and then coat them up in leather wax. Won't be going on untill cars sprayed.
Let me know what you think

Yeh enit Glad you persuaded me to do them mate.
With all the trimming done I've gone through 3 cans of Evo-Stick Contact Adhesive and also 1 large spreadable can.
