No updates just yet, but keep your eyes peeled as its all about to kick off. Im due a fairly substantial tax return which will be spent on this. All I'm saying is even lower, wider and smaller wheels, new colour and if all goes to plan, an engine and fuel conversion.

Thanks Gav Smile shame I've been neglecting it for a while. On that note...

A bit of an update... the project is back in full swing. Got majority of the audio sorted now, just sorting out the amps. Also had my new wheels arrive. 8Jx16" ET20 front , 9Jx16" ET20 rear. Not going to say what they are... arrived yesterday and I've got them stripped down ready for refurb. Something a little different, lets just say that.

Anyway... people bang on about how hard it is to fit a 9J wheel. Arches have been rolled and they became slightly flared while the MAMs were fitted. Only problem I had was the fact that the rear wheel was touching the trailing arm and due to the width it was stopping it from sitting on the drum spigot.

15mm spacer later and down to ET5 and I've got the wheels sitting like this on the rear.

I've got 195/45 R16 tyres going on all round, so should be a nice amount of stretch. Might have to drop the back accordingly once they've been fitted properly.

Helper Springs out of coilovers to come out. Rear suspension to be readjusted. 195/40 R16 tyres on the front, 205/40 R16 tyres on the rear.

8Jx16" ET20 with 10mm spacer fitted. Arch lip cut away.

9Jx16" ET20 with 20mm spacer fitted. Rear arch lip cut away and flared. Rear bumper mounting brackets & bumper modified.

Them arch gaps need closing up.

I'll leave these here... Powdercoating the wheels. Plastidipping the car. Some may have an idea of what I'm doing on each. But feel free to suggest colours.

Only reason I had problems was because I had nothing for them to rest on to due to the lips having been cut of the wings and also the arch to allow the wheels not to catch. Kept sliding down... a quick clean off, a few rivets and a bit of tiger seal sorted that out though.

Yeah my ones were off a GT, just heat gunned the lips straight off the wings. Rivets I used were about 4mm long, just enough to get them through the wing and into the arches. The ends were just held into place with some clamps while the glue set.
