Then again, Bugawuga from the old site went with a Moonstone/White combo and that looks/looked really nice as well.
#77: Re: Uz's SWGT No.1 of 1...updates =] Author: Uz, Location: No Man's LandPosted: Thu Feb 25, 2010 9:14 am ---- Yeh I think I'm gunna go with the Gloss Black with these wheels.
I'm going to be getting custom centre gel badges made.
I'm having a gloss black background with a moonstone blue peugeot lion 'outline' and then having SWGT at an angle running across the centre of the badge with the SW in silver and the GT in red and in exactly the same font as the badges.
Getting a design done and then if it looks good I'm gunna get them made up
#78: Re: Uz's SWGT No.1 of 1...updates =] Author: Quarmbo, Location: Bristol & LeicesterPosted: Thu Feb 25, 2010 9:19 am ---- Sounds excellent mate. Will look awesome once its all done. Any plans with the vinyl on the bonnet?
#79: Re: Uz's SWGT No.1 of 1...updates =] Author: Uz, Location: No Man's LandPosted: Thu Feb 25, 2010 10:48 am ---- I'm not going to get the vinyl done tbh as I know I get bored of looking at it and I'm sure people would draw all over it if they got the chance especially with it having nude women with there titys out (childish people in Evesham) so instead I'm spending the money on a bonnet bra as I want to keep the bonnet from gettting stone chips and I drive alot.
#80: Re: Uz's SWGT No.1 of 1...updates =] Author: WilkyGTi, Location: Cumbria, UKPosted: Thu Feb 25, 2010 3:37 pm ---- As far as the wheel nuts are concerned, i was always told it was 1.5 times the diameter, so if it was 10mm bolt/stud, you'd need 15mm of thread doing something, i had the same problem on my old fiesta, i checked the torque regularly and they were fine.
#81: Re: Uz's SWGT No.1 of 1...updates =] Author: Uz, Location: No Man's LandPosted: Thu Feb 25, 2010 3:49 pm ---- When I took the bolts back out of the spacer that were holding the wheels and it was literally 5mm off thread that wasn't going in. It was just lucky I had those 5mm shims and they worked perfectly.

These cost me £60 but they sell for over £250 quid. Ecosse used to stock them but when I checked last they only had one set left. They aren't available anymore so I very much doubt anywheres got a set.

Why don't you get the bonnet wrapped (like the new mini's are quite often)? Maybe be less 'in your face' than a bonnet bra!
#88: Re: Uz's SWGT No.1 of 1...updates =] Author: Uz, Location: No Man's LandPosted: Fri Feb 26, 2010 4:56 am ---- I'll have a look around for some ideas...see what the options are.
Took the old standard interior out and fitted my leathers. I've left the drivers standard seats in as I don't want it getting damaged while the cars being repaired. Also just generally gave the car a tidy inside just so it's easier to work in.
The leathers just got dust on it. Also the match between the seats and the faux leather doorcards is pretty much spot on
Just to compare the two...not the best pic but you get the idea.
#89: Re: Uz's SWGT No.1 of 1...updates =] Author: Quarmbo, Location: Bristol & LeicesterPosted: Fri Feb 26, 2010 5:31 am ---- Looks awesome mate. I was slightly dubious about the mass of leather in there, but its looking pretty good! You should do leather door interior as a little side job, I bet there'd be a few people who'd want some doing.
#90: Re: Uz's SWGT No.1 of 1...updates =] Author: Uz, Location: No Man's LandPosted: Fri Feb 26, 2010 6:51 am ---- there's not alot of leather just the seats and doorcards. Roof lining and A+B pillar covers are being done in Suede. I was thinking about doing the doorcards in leather and suede as I'll have load of material left over after I've finished trimming all the stuff of my car.
I did ask on here about leather doorcards and glovebox door before the site went down and everyone were saying that it'd be too expensive so I'm not going to bother and keep the material just incase I fancy a change or come up with an idea.
