#1: Rubber at the bottom of windscreen problem Author: Mike, Posted: Mon Jan 17, 2011 10:39 am ---- As some may now I have a water leak problem which I'm yet to find out. Noticed a while ago that the rubber at the bottom of the windscreen joining the shuttle panel was loose as pictured below and the drivers side is firmly in place.
Does anybody know how they are held in place, how hard they are to remove and also if they were to be removed and you were to pour water in where would in drain to/go?

They're held on with those plastic clips that break all the time. The panels aren't there to seal against the glass.

Have you run any wires through thw bulk head lately or disturbed the rubber grommet on the bulk head but under the carpet?

Only one small cable going though the bulkhead and that isn't causing the leak as it's bone dry there.

You can heat it in boiling water and use masking tape to hold it in place. When cool - refist and see if it needs asjustment. Repeat.
If it's rubber, it's worth a try - boiling a kettle is cheaper than replacement parts.

Screen is bonded in, if you are sure the leak is coming in through the screen ask a windscreen fitter how many beer tokens it is to reseal the screen
