#1: Keys Author: pug206lx, Location: Taking a gearbox off somewherePosted: Mon Jan 17, 2011 12:51 pm ---- I have searched for this info but can't find it, nor can I find it on google.
I know that Peugeot can make up a key with the key code card, photo ID and the V5C, but my question is can they ERASE just one single key (without the key being present) from the car so that it's not able to remotely unlock / start the engine?
Thanks

Won't you have to virginise the ECU to do that tho?
Not sure if you program it thru Peugeot Plant. If I remember, I'll have a look for you tomorrow Gareth

#6: Re: Keys Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Mon Jan 17, 2011 5:03 pm ---- On a multiplexed 206 like this everytime you code a key you start from scratch with 0 keys in the BSI system as it erases them all.
Take ALL the key's you want to work with the car & get them recoded, any that aint recoded at that time will no longer work the remote locking or the transponder immobiliser.
#7: Re: Keys Author: pug206lx, Location: Taking a gearbox off somewherePosted: Mon Jan 17, 2011 5:08 pm ---- Right. So if i've got this right, If i take the 1 key that I have and the car to Peugeot to get another one made up, when they program up the new key all the keys that are currently registered with the BSI will be forgotten and the one i buy from the dealer and the one i have now will be the only keys that work?
besides the barrel locks obviously.
Thanks for the input!

#10: Re: Keys Author: pug206lx, Location: Taking a gearbox off somewherePosted: Wed Jan 26, 2011 3:30 pm ---- I know this was a while ago now but does anyone know the difference between the remote boards with numbers 73373067C and 73373067B by any chance?
#12: Re: Keys Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Wed Jan 26, 2011 3:37 pm ---- Ones 'improved range' and the other one is standard. Can't remember which one is which, but I'd hazard a guess the C one is improved range.
#13: Re: Keys Author: pug206lx, Location: Taking a gearbox off somewherePosted: Wed Jan 26, 2011 3:52 pm ---- Cheers Lee. Bought a key off the Bay of E and thats the only difference on the remote board, even if that doesn't work i can live without remote on the spare. So ill get a blade cut and take it to pug and see if and what can be reprogrammed. Got to be cheaper than buying a whole key even if i do end up having to bite the bullet and have a new transponder chip.
And will do stevedude.
