When you say 100 quid you mean used right? I've only seen one on here for sale over here for about 100 quid. If you don't want to wait a year you better buy one new.

You do get them, but I don't think they're very common.

I suppose there's a reason for that.....

A might look cool but you then will have to defend your decision on a getting that rollcage. What if people want to race you and now you can't back that up?

I think you could use that money and get much better mods.

Until you have a smash and then your pretty showcage turns into multiple skewers.

This.

Plus with a roll cage fitted you usually are wearing a helmet, imagine hitting your unprotected head on the cage in the event of a collision.
Unless you wear a helmet while driving on the road...

They make you look like a nob. The only cage that looks cool is a multi point welded in cage...even then you look a bit of a clown getting out of the car down at Sainsburys...

SHOW CAGE?! you might as well glue some toilet rolls together and cover them in duck tape, what a waste of money, if you want a proper roll cage the cheapest way would be to weld it in yourself, but honestly, unless you're making a track car, I wouldn't bother

Sorry but what? Why would anyone need to defend any decision they make about their car? If we have any balls about us we say 'You don't like it? Ahh well, life goes on' and drive off at our own pace.

If someone wants to race you, just be grown up about it, put the testosterone in the back pocket and don't put other people's lives at risk by racing because some chav d**k thinks your personal choice of modification is s**t. Maybe they have Lexus rears and morettes? Oooh best race them. Rolling Eyes

Both valid points and something to keep in mind. Even driving sensibly, others could hit you and a show cage could become a lethal weapon if you crack your head on it or it breaks and parts are loose/ sharp in the vehicle.

If you want one, maybe saving up and having a properly constructed cage would be a better option. There must be second hand cages around somewhere from retired race cars. There's a lot of 206 out there racing.
