#1: Sell Car.. Price... Headgasket Gone Author: Danny., Location: PeterboroughPosted: Wed Jan 19, 2011 4:23 am ---- Ok well i have a suspected head gasket and i am going to get it confirmed tomorrow..
My question is how much would i get for it...
Clocks say 140,000 Miles (Engine change at 82000)
1999 'S' 1.4 LX
Suspect head gasket..
Ive put a whole new standard exhaust system on since having the car.
Im not thinking much i know just want to know what i should start asking for it.. Last edited by Danny. on Wed Jan 19, 2011 4:30 am; edited 1 time in total

I'd say around £500 if that, if the bodywork is in good condition.
Probably worth getting it fixed as you know its good then. Last edited by CD-B3 on Wed Jan 19, 2011 4:27 am; edited 2 times in total

I've got to disagree.
GTi parts are sought after, lower trim model parts are not in high demand.
Get the car fixed & you know the history of the car & its worth more to you than what its monetary value is. Last edited by CD-B3 on Wed Jan 19, 2011 4:49 am; edited 1 time in total

I think putting aprice of either £350 or £400 ONO would be best.. LEts see if teh garage confirm the head gasket has gone
